Islam as rahmatan lil alamin religion has a teaching about peaceful. We can find it from Islamic teaching either in Al-Quran or sunnah as a model of implementation of Islamic injunction. Beside that we can find teaching peaceful from shahabat like Umar Ibnul Kahttab as a third khalifah after Muhammad SAW. Al-Quran or sunnah has explain about the important of peaceful. We can see the meaning of Islam itself, al-Quran and sunnah as evidence to show that Islam is religion that teaches peaceful.
If we see the meaning of Islam, we can find that Islam is peaceful religion. The Islam word was taken of salima that has peaceful meaning. From this etymologic approach we know that Islam teaches the follower and people do everything that aims to peaceful. On the contrary Islam religion forbids the follower and the other people doing everything aim to terrorism. Islam forbids terror acting because is wrong way. From Islam meaning we know also that Islam forbids killing human either muslin or non Muslim.
Quran as constitution of Islam teaches Muslim to respect another religion in worship. Islam does not teach force in follow religion. Muslim are not allowed to be hostile to the non Muslim merely because difference in religion. Islam gives freedom in choose religion. Islam also gives safety and protection for non Muslim minorities who live among Muslim societies. Umar ibnul khattab, the third khalifah after Muhammbad SAW, said that non Muslim must be protected as long they not again Islam. Umar also has gave statement that the non Muslim minorities who cannot pay the tribute (jizyah) must get from the government a regular payment sufficient to maintain himself and his family.
Islam did not allow the follower and all people to kill other people. Al quran also forbids transgression. Muslim just allowed to defense purpose although in war. Islam teaches forgiveness to Muslim or non Muslim. Muslim is forbidden kill enemy if he has given up. Islam teaches discuss (musyawarah) to solve a problem. Islam as rahmatan lil alaim religion did not allow the Muslim to do rude. Discuss approach or dialog approach is the peaceful steps in solve the problem. Al-Quran teaches people or Muslim to debate by good manner.
Islam get people to integrate the community. Islam pushes to universal peace because the grandmother of people is one are Adam and Hawa. Muhammad when he is in haji wada teaches us that not superiority over between Arab and non Arab. Al-Quran said that this people are one. All of people is same, but the difference just righteous. Al Quran said that the most honored of people in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of them. Al Quran pushes people to be united, like in surah alhujurah verse 13 explain that god has created all human either man or woman have race and nation, that is not purpose other except to know one another.
No doubt that Islam is one of some religion that teaches the meaning of peaceful. Islam has teaching about peaceful. The Islam word was taken of salima that has peaceful meaning.
